A native of Malaysia, Faris began his studies at Manchester School of Architecture in 2013. He co-founded COLLAB ARC in 2015 along with three other architects who share similar ideals.

His main focus is community orientated project, especially co-design. He believes that architecture should not be built upon the decision of a single person. Rather it should be designed alongside the future users by the means of co-designing which would allow the creation of a sustainable architecture, flexible in function.
