PLACE

As for the site , I have chosen the Spyder Park adjacent to Leaf Street. This site is surrounded by roads on all four sides of it. Major roads; Princess Parkway and Streford Road sits on the east and south of the site respectively.

Before engaging in any design, several analysis were done in order to understand the site.

TREE SURVEY

Upon visiting the site, I have noticed that the itself is covered mainly by trees and vegetation. Hence I decided to do a tree survey of the site.

This is because, by doing this it will influence my design decisions in the future predominently for the landscaping of the site.

The site is used by the people living nearby as a park ; people come here to walk their dogs e.t.c

The southern part of the site is heavily packed with trees except for a break cutting across the site

The north of the site is blocked entirely by trees except for a small entrance.

PADESTRIAN ACCESS AND PATHS
NOISE LEVEL
SITE SECTION

When visiting the site, I took note the padestrian access and pathways that is on the site. Access to the park is mainly on the north side of the park where it is clear from trees and there is actually a pathway there.

On the  southern part, it is inaccessible accept for one part that cuts across the site near the road

The trees on the site causes a visual barrier into the site from the south but people have a clear view from the west.
