The North Wing houses solely the library that is part of the building. It is quite disconnected with the rest of the buildings with no direct access into the main atrium. This was done to allow the control of the noise level in the library as this area is reserved for a more quiter study
The South Wing is predominently a public area with a cafe and a public learning kitchen in it. Since it faces the main road, the South Wing is heavily decorated with pattenerned concrete panels to be the visual of the building attracting people to it.
I wanted to create a learning space that is not too formalise hence the reasoning why the classrooms area are more open towards the central atrium and minor atrium to allow connections between the classrooms and the rest of the building.
On the East wing, the spaces is reserved for life skills class and also an outdoor area that is made out of timber post and beam. The outdoor area is to allow a connection between the external and internal space of the wing where it can be used for various activities.
