THE BIG DRAW ( PART 2)

In this part of the Big Draw, I focus my attention to rationalise the form of the building responding to the feedback from 3.1 and also from the 3M diagrams. The key things that I am focusing is the roof and also the structure.

The front part of the building needs to respond to the street frontier to allow it to be interesting to the passerby.

The interior of the atrium serves as the main focal point of the building connecting the spaces inside the building

For the library , I created a seperate atrium inside of it as it is mainly seperated from the rest of the building. The atrium serves as a visual connector and also helps with the ventilation of the library.

The subsequent iterations are done by first rationalise the building then starting to extend the lines from the surrounding to help form the building. Initially, the main line cutting through the building is the central atrium cut.

I then started to draw extension liines perpendicular to the atrium line.
