This structural diagram is to show how the steel frames inside the building works and how the walls are constructed for this particular part of the building.

The diagrams below illustrates the process of construction of the building starting from the foundation until the fixtures.

CONSTRUCTION PROCESS

Timber stud walls

60% of the north building is made out of reinforced conrete where the half of it is mainly the primary structure ( i.e load bearing walls).

 

A small portion of it acts as a bracing for the steel frames.

The cross-laminated timber frame is not supporting anything apart from the glass that surrounds the frame.

The south building is mainly reinforced concrete.
